Open Days Garden Tour When: Saturday July 11th from 10AM-4PM

Cancer Research Center Creative Writing Workshop

Where: Emma's Writing Center, 307 W. State Street Irene Zahava will be offering a free creative writing workshop Monday, July 13th from 7-9PM. Designed for anyone with a cancer diagnosis, it is a great opportunity to write a memoir, fiction, poetry or songs in a supportive and creative environment. The workshop will concentrate on wellness, not illness, with focus on the whole person beyond a cancer diagnosis. The program is free but requires registration, with a limit at 12 people. Ithaca American Legion 7th Annual Benefit

STAP Ride For Life When: Saturday, September 12th
Where: Stewart Park, Ithaca Join the Southern Teir AIDS Program (STAP) Saturday, September 12th in a 50, 85, or 100 mile bicycle ride around Cayuga Lake to raise money to benefit AIDS services and education. The ride begins in Stewart Park and ends in Cass Park where riders will be escorted back to Stewart Park by the Ithaca Police Department for dinner and festivities. www.aidsrideforlife.org/

Black tie event on September 18 to raise money for Aurora Library, Morgan Opera House. Cocktails and a silent auction begin at 5:30 pm, followed by dinner overlooking Cayuga Lake at 7:00 pm and dancing to the Ithaca Ageless Jazz Band from 8:00 - 11:00 pm.
